Grad School is almost finished

So my "temporary" hiatus from being rather burned out turned into one of a few years.

There was work, and then the Ron Paul campaign, and oh yeah, this little thing called GRAD SCHOOL.

So in just a few short weeks I'll have a Master's of Science in Information Science, Security Assured Information Systems.

How's that for a mouthful?

Time to advocate for Freedom again. A lot of my focus may shift to more EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation) kind of stuff for a while.

And I'll throw in news about Information Security too.

We'll find a new focus.

On Hiatus

Sorry that I haven't been updating recently, I'm taking a hiatus for a few weeks.

Be back soon, and thanks for reading.

He is one of my favorite actors

This is interesting. I wonder where it will lead. He's running as an independent right now, although he says he may join a party at some point.

Update:
It's apparently a hoax.

Bad Costco. Bad, Bad Costco.

Why, you can't go treating your employees well and like human beings!

Employees at Wal-Mart or Sam's Club or something might take notice and advocate for workplace change or unionization or something like that. Or even just ask for basic healthcare rather than having the taxpayers pick up the tab! It will ruin the retail industry!

And consumers? What will happen when find out that they can get deals and low prices and still be supporting workers as much as corporations? Oh the HORROR!

Espionage Act (Title 18 of the US Code, Part I, Chapter 37, Section 793)

A few weeks ago I wrote a brief entry about an avenue other than the very narrowly constructed Intelligence Identities Protection Act that Fitzgerald may be building a case under for Rove, Libby, and whomever else may be caught up in the conspiracy.

David Corn wrote a much longer article on it yesterday.

Can you help a Freedom Democrat get to the Young Democrats of America Convention? - Sticky

The following is the official fundraising letter.

We Need YOUR HELP To Represent Pennsylvania!

From August 3-7, 2005, 1000 Young Democrats will convene in San Francisco for the Young Democrats of America 2005 National Convention. This convention provides an incredible opportunity for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. At the convention, young activists will participate in campaign trainings and network with Young Democrats from across the country. While several Pennsylvania Young Democrats can afford to pay their own way to San Francisco, some of Pennsylvania's most politically engaged and energetic young people need your help to attend.

In 2004, Pennsylvania was targeted by the Young Democrats of America. This status brought hundreds of volunteers and tens of thousands of dollars into the Kerry-Edwards campaign in Pennsylvania through campaign invasions and the Young Voter Alliance. On election night, the impact was clear. While other age groups split between Bush and Kerry, young democrats carried the state for John Kerry by a whopping 32-percent margin!

A strong Pennsylvania delegation at the national convention is an important step in mustering even greater resources for Pennsylvania in 2006. We must send a diverse delegation to the National Convention to help shape the 2006 agenda and ensure that Pennsylvania is again a target for campaign invasions and national contributions. The Convention is also a week-long opportunity to meet and learn from some of the top political organizers in the country. This training of our dedicated young Democratic leaders will also pay dividends in Pennsylvania for years to come.

Already, several of Pennsylvania's elected officials, county Democratic committees and private citizens have pledged their support. We hope that you will join them. The Pennsylvania Young Democrats are the Party's foot soldiers, its up-and-coming leaders and its future. Please make an investment in the Democratic Party in Pennsylvania by making a check payable to:

Thank you in advance for your support.
Very truly yours,

The Pennsylvania Young Democrats Executive Committee
